ELLIOT LAKE, Ont. – The Rayside-Balfour Canadians saw 11 players produce multi-point outings as they went on to top the Elliot Lake Wildcats 12-2 in a Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League West Division meeting Friday at Centennial Arena.

Rayside-Balfour set the tone early as they scored three times before the first frame was half over with Matthew Belanger adding a pair while Matthew Dokis-Dupuis supplied a single.

Returning to the Canadians line-up Giordano Biondi put the visitors up by four in his opening game of the season at 15:07.

Elliot Lake did get one before the session was complete as Ethan Hick collected his first NOJHL goal.

Getting that back early in the middle stanza, Mitchell Martin’s sixth made it 5-1 while teammate Alexander Fowke scored for a second straight night to extend the Rayside-Balfour lead.

Christopher Clark added to the Canadians onslaught with two tallies as the guests went up big after 40 minutes.

Nicholas DeGrazia and Gavin Brown helped Rayside-Balfour reach double digits before the Wildcats’ Eric Vanderhoff notched his team-leading seventh in the late going.

Oliver Smith added one final marker for RBC to complete the romp.

Nicholas Heinzle in the Canadians net made 29 saves in a winning cause.

Dominic Boily started for Elliot Lake and suffered the defeat as he saw 55 attempts pumped on target.
