Canadians Make Hockey History

Rayside-Balfour Canadians make CJHL and NOJHL history this afternoon when they officially signed forward Jorge Perez from Mexico City, Mexico. Jorge is the first player from Latin America and Mexico to sign a Junior A card within Hockey Canada.

Last Season Jorge played with The Hill Academy U18 Prep school in Vaughan, Ontario and it is widely regarded as one of the top prep schools for developing hockey players in Canada. Jorge also captained both the U18 and U20 Mexican National Team as a 17 year old and won the U20 IIHF D3 A tournament.
