Johnson makes his OHL Debut

Canadians Centremen Brady Johnson (Lindsay, ON) made his OHL debut with the Niagara IceDogs on December 29th against the Barrie Colts at the Barrie Molson Centre.

Johnson signed with the IceDogs back in October  and was reunited with his brother Johnny Corneil who also  is a member of the IceDogs. In the game Johnson got a shot on goal and was even in the plus minus  department as the Ice Dogs defeated the Colts 5-3. Johnson was originally selected by the Ice Dogs in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection Draft in the 13th round 252nd overall.

Currently Johnson is leading the Canadians in scoring with 31 Points (15 goals and 19 Assists) in 35 games. As well as 3rd period points with 19 of his 31 points occurring in the 3rd period.

This season Johnson is the fourth member of the Canadians to dress with an OHL Club as goaltender Cameron Lamour (Naughton, ON) with the Saginaw Spirit,  forward Chad Denault (Iroquois Falls, ON) with the Peterborough Petes and forward Evan Krassey (Atikokan, ON) with the Sudbury Wolves have all played in OHL games this season.

The Canadians next home game is on Saturday January 7th against the Blind River Beavers at the Chelmsford Community Centre with a puck drop set for 7:00 pm. Admission Adults $10.00, Seniors $8.00, Students $6.00, Children under the age of 10 accompanied by an adult Free.
