Canadians Acquire Hamlin from SIJHL North Stars

CHELMSFORD, ON – The Canadians are very excited to announce the acquisition of Kris Hamlin from the Thunder Bay North Stars of the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL).

Hamlin has major junior experience with the Mississauga Steelheads of the OHL and Gatineau Olympiques of the QMJHL. Last season with the North Stars Hamlin recorded 49 points in 46 games and lead the North Stars in powerplay goals. This current season Hamlin had nine points (three goals and six assists) along with 35 PIMs in 12 SIJHL games.

He played in a summer tournament (Brampton College Cup) with the Canadians and Dave was a big fan. Tomorrow night Hamlin will make his NOJHL and Canadians debut wearing #27 against the Espanola Express. Game time is set for 7:00 pm at the Chemlsford Community Centre admission is $10 Adults, $8 Seniors, $6 Students, and Children 10 and Under free.
